- Class Tokens are a new currency added to the game on June 28, 2016 (in update 1.10).
- How do I get Class Tokens?
- Rejecting a Survivor from a Radio Call, or…
- Retiring a Survivor from your current roster.
- From the Trade Goods Store
- From Token Crates in Challenges
- What do I spend Class Tokens on?
- Leveling up (Upgrading) Survivor Traits, then…
- Promoting Survivors to the their next Prestige Level (Star Level).
- Class Tokens are CLASS SPECIFIC, meaning if you retire/reject a Scout Survivor, you only get tokens to use for upgrading other Scout Survivors.
- Where can I see how many Class Tokens I have for a specific Class?
- You can see how many Tokens you have by going to a Survivor’s Profile. You will see the Class Tokens displayed as the first # listed above “Upgrade Trait”.
- Alternatively, you can click the Survivors tab on the left side of your home screen, then click on the Class of Survivor and the # of Class Tokens will be shown on the left side of the screen.
- You can see how many Tokens you have by going to a Survivor’s Profile. You will see the Class Tokens displayed as the first # listed above “Upgrade Trait”.
- Before you can “Promote” a Survivor to the next Prestige Level (Star Level), you must first upgrade all of their Traits to the Maximum Levels for their Prestige Level (Star Level) (example: to promote an Epic to Legendary, you must first upgrade all of their Traits to level 4.)
- Each Survivor Prestige Level (Star Level) has the same # of Traits as their Prestige Level (Star Level), and those Traits can all be upgraded to the same level as their Prestige Level (Star Level). This stops once a Survivor is promoted to 6 Stars; 5 Traits is the most a Survivor can have.
- Example 1: An Epic Survivor is also known as a 4 Star Survivor. They will have 4 Traits, all upgradeable to Level 4.
- Example 2: A 3-Star, Rare Survivor will have 3 Traits upgradeable to Level 3.
- Every upgrade costs the same within a Survivor Tier (All Epic Upgrades will cost 120 Tokens.) After update 2.0, the promotion cost is now the same as the Trait upgrade cost of the next Prestige Level. So, promoting an Epic Survivor to Legendary now costs 250 tokens, instead of the previous 120.
- Traits upgrade from the bottom up, as you can see in the above picture, the bottom Trait (Lucky) has the green arrows, indicating it will be the Trait to be upgraded. Currently, you can not change the Trait you want to upgrade.
- Retiring your current Survivors, or Rejecting new Survivors give the same # of Tokens for the same Prestige Level (Star Level), regardless of level.
- Legendary (5 Star): 256 Tokens
- Epic (4 Star): 128 Tokens
- Rare (3 Star): 32 Tokens
- Uncommon (2 Star): 10 Tokens (changed from 8 in 2.4)!!
- Common (1 Star): 2 Tokens
- You do get more tokens back (than listed above) when you retire a Survivor that you’ve invested Tokens in. You get back about 15% of the tokens you’ve invested, plus the token value of the original rarity of the Survivor.
- For the “Actual” Cost of upgrading Survivors, I realize that you probably won’t be retiring Survivors of the same Prestige Level (Star Level); this is just a guideline. Here’s the math on how many Survivors of a Prestige Level are equivalent to other Prestige Levels. I need to update the costs for Uncommon Survivors after the update in 2.4.
- Legendary:
- 1 Legendary = 2 Epics
- 1 Legendary = 8 Rares
- 1 Legendary = 32 Uncommon
- 1 Legendary = 128 Common
- Epic:
- 1 Epic = 4 Rares
- 1 Epic = 16 Uncommon
- 1 Epic = 64 Commons
- Rare:
- 1 Rare = 4 Uncommon
- 1 Rare = 16 Common
- Uncommon:
- 1 Uncommon = 4 Commons
- Legendary:
6 to 10 Star Survivors (Pink Stars)
After update 2.0, you are now allowed to upgrade Legendary (5 Star Survivors) to 6 (then 7/8/9/10) Stars. The real value of Pink Star Survivors can be read HERE.
- Promoting a 5 Star Survivor to 6 Stars costs 500 tokens, as does each trait upgrade at 6 stars.
- Promoting a 6 Star Survivor to 7 Stars costs 1,000 tokens, as does each trait upgrade at 7 stars.
- Promoting a 7 Star Survivor to 8 Stars costs 2,000 tokens, as does each trait upgrade at 8 stars.
- Promoting an 8 Star Survivor to 9 Stars costs 4,000 tokens, as does each trait upgrade at 9 stars.
- Promoting a 9 Star Survivor to 10 Stars costs 8,000 tokens, as does each trait upgrade at 10 stars.

What is the skull icon , on a walker kill , is their any benefit ?

I believe the skull icon indicates that you got a charge point from the kill. NG then added the “charged” text that pops up as well..wish they’d get rid of the text!!!
